“Europe has the strongest system of international human rights protection worldwide, thanks to the European Convention on Human Rights. In order for the system to reach its potential, we need lawyers, judges, civil servants, NGOs and other professionals across Europe to learn how it works and use this knowledge in their daily work, “said the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić.
The training contains modules on the European Convention on Human Rights, the European Court of Human Rights and, for the first time, the enforcement of judgments by the Strasbourg Court, which is essential to raising human rights standards.
