Academy for innovations, 5-6 June 2020, Sofia

In partnership with the leading universities in Bulgaria for the 7th consecutive year, in 2020, an Innovation Academy – Bulgaria Innovation Hackathon will be organized for students from all over the country with the institutional support of the European Commission in Bulgaria and with the general support of the European Investment Bank.

The project operates on the principle of the Faculty of Innovation d.school at Stanford – an external educational program and a training initiative for students and professors from different specialties and all universities in Bulgaria, in which students acquire an intensive knowledge of innovation and present their start-up projects to the jury from non-profit faculty, business and non-governmental organizations.

In 2020 students from 12 universities will participate in the event: New Bulgarian University (NBU), Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” (Sofia University), Technical University Sofia (TU Sofia), University of National and World Economy (UNWE), American University Blagoevgrad (AUB), Software University (SoftUni), Higher School of Insurance and Finance (VUZF), Gabrovo Technical University (TU Gabrovo), Higher Forestry University (VLTU), Medical University Sofia (MU), Vasil Levski Military University, Veliko Tarnovo (NVU), Varna Free Univ Chernorizets Hrabar (VSU).

The host of the event is Peroto Literary Club at the National Palace of Culture, where, on June 5 and 6, young people will be able to develop their ideas in the form of short 15-minute presentations and demos of products and services. The competition takes place within 24 hours under the mentorship of the jury, partners and members of our team.
