Project Description
Magdalena Emilova Alexandrova (11) from IV “Ivan Vazov” Secondary School – Montana was nominated for the prestigious competition “Successful Children of Bulgaria”, funded by „Dimitar Berbatov Foundation“.
The goals of the project are to create an attitude of shared respect towards the success of talented youth, to stimulate their development in different fields, to motivate them to seek expression and to reduce aggression and violence among adolescents by redirecting their energy in a constructive direction.
The Dimitar Berbatov Foundation is the first institution in Bulgaria to establish annual awards for students – including the youngest. The project envisages distinguishing not only talented but active youngsters, who have proven their skills in competitions.
Magdalena was nominated on the basis of her achievements in the field of pop music, in particular:
- Grand Prix for the Pop Artists category (single, above first place) – International Music and Dance Festival “Sofia Grand Prix” – I CA – Sofia, September 14-15, 2019.
- First place (shared) – Pop-vocal category, II CA – National competition “Road to glory” – Sofia, 08-10 February 2019.
- First Prize (shared) – ХХІІІ International Competition for Performers of the Bulgarian and Popular Song “Northern Lights” – Ruse, 04-06 October 2019.
- First Prize (shared) – Division 15 tulips, II CA – National Youth Competition with International Participation “Fifteen Tulips” – Hisarya, May 5, 2019. From the calendar of the Ministry of Culture Maggie won first place in the category “With the songs of Mimi and Razvigor. “
- First Place (Shared) – World Hit Category – XV International Crossroads of Music Festival – Sofia, October 20, 2019. Maggie also won first place in the categories “Musical”, “Original Song” and “Folklore “.
In 2019 alone, the talented child won also: first place and second place from NF “Angel Voice” – Belgrade (Serbia), first places of VIII MC “New Voices and Songs” – Nessebar, and MF “Notes on the Sand” – Primorsko; second places at the Abaniko MF – Sofia, XIV The Musite MF – Sozopol, the Golden Apples MF – Kyustendil, and the Christmas Confession MF – Kyustendil; third places at XV Orfeeva Darba National Theater – Sofia, and Nessebar Pop-Rock Festival – Nessebar.
Furthermore, Magdalena is performing excelled in school and attends piano and solo lessons at the Art Center Dobri Hristov, Montana.
The talented girl has developed her skills under the guidance of Miglena Georgieva and Latina Boeva (CPLR at ODC “We, Sparrows” – Montana).
